Electrification & Community Building: The US Experience
Hosted by Rewiring Australia in partnership with the Institute for Sustainable Futures at UTS, Ultimo – 10 February
Special guests from the US are visiting Australia to share their experiences of electrifying homes and building communities as a climate and cost-of-living solution.
In this intimate presentation and networking of allies, listen to the Directors of Community Implementation at Rewiring America, who will:
– Showcase their community-based electrification projects in the US
– Share the learnings from the US Inflation Reduction Act and implementing government electrification incentives
– Offer foresights into the climate and energy landscape in the US under a Trump-led administration
While Australians face a cost-of-living crisis, a vexed climate debate and an impending election, this is a timely opportunity to see what can be learned from the US experience and how we can accelerate the electrification of Australian homes and build resilient communities.
