It is with heavy hearts that we must inform you of the passing of our dear friend and colleague Joachim Muller, or Jo as he liked to be called.
Although most of us have known Jo for a comparatively brief time, Jo’s passion, enthusiasm and quiet authority has left a lasting impression on so many. Typically, just last Thursday Jo was on stage for our Hot Water Forum at the Hardys Bay Club, doing what he liked to do: giving others the benefit of a lifetime’s experience in studying energy issues.
On behalf of Electrify Bouddi, we have expressed our condolences to his family, and will provide further information as it becomes available. In the longer term, we intend to find a suitable way of honouring Jo by creating a lasting memorial.
As we all know, Jo was a passionate advocate for solar power and often said: “there’s always light even on a shady roof” – which perfectly sums up his positivity and conviction that science and good sense must prevail. From the first days of Electrify Bouddi, Jo has been with us and his loss will be greatly missed. At the same time, we also know he would wish his legacy to serve as an inspiration for us to continue to work for a more sustainable future.
